Thanks also to Sanjay at Oxford Brain and Mind for dealing so efficiently and sensitively with the administrative side of things.
The assessment itself was thorough but felt relaxed – the clinician made sure I understood each step and answered all my questions. I never felt rushed, and they genuinely listened to everything I had to say, which was such a relief. By the end, I felt like I finally had some clarity and a clear plan for what to do next.
The whole process was smooth, and booking was a breeze too. If you’re considering an ADHD assessment or any kind of support, I highly recommend this clinic. They really know their stuff and made what could have been a stressful experience into a very positive one.
Specialist Assessment and Rehabilitation for Neurological Conditions
At Oxford Brain and Mind, we provide specialist consultant-led neurorehabilitation assessment and treatment for adults living with the effects of stroke, brain injury, cerebral palsy, Long COVID, ME/CFS and other complex neurological conditions.
Neurorehabilitation focuses on helping people maximise their independence, function and quality of life. Neurological illness and injury can affect many aspects of daily life, including mobility, fatigue, thinking and memory, communication, work, education, relationships and emotional wellbeing.
Assessments are led by a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine and are tailored to the individual’s needs, goals and circumstances.

Specialist Areas
Stroke Rehabilitation
Recovery following stroke can present physical, cognitive and emotional challenges that continue long after hospital treatment has ended. We provide specialist assessment and advice to help individuals maximise recovery, improve independence and address ongoing difficulties such as fatigue, mobility limitations, cognitive symptoms and return-to-work challenges.
Brain Injury Rehabilitation
We assess and support individuals following traumatic brain injury, concussion and other acquired brain injuries. Common concerns include fatigue, headaches, memory and concentration difficulties, emotional changes and difficulties returning to work, education or previous activities.
Long COVID
Long COVID can affect energy levels, cognition, physical function and quality of life. We provide comprehensive assessment and personalised rehabilitation recommendations for individuals experiencing fatigue, post-exertional symptom exacerbation, brain fog, dizziness and difficulties returning to normal activities.
ME/CFS
Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue SyndromeWe offer specialist assessment of fatigue, post-exertional symptom exacerbation, cognitive symptoms, sleep disturbance and functional limitations. Management focuses on symptom management, energy conservation, activity regulation and improving quality of life.
Cerebral Palsy in Adulthood
Adults with cerebral palsy often experience changing functional needs over time, including pain, fatigue, mobility difficulties and challenges with work or independent living. We provide assessment and advice aimed at maintaining function, supporting independence and addressing the long-term effects of cerebral palsy throughout adult life.
A Holistic Approach to Rehabilitation
Effective rehabilitation considers the whole person rather than focusing solely on a diagnosis. Recommendations may address physical symptoms, fatigue, cognition, emotional wellbeing, vocational goals and participation in meaningful activities.
Where appropriate, recommendations may include collaboration with other healthcare professionals, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, neuropsychologists, speech and language therapists, psychologists and psychiatrists.
Continuing your rehabilitation, step by step
Follow-up consultations last approximately 45 minutes and provide an opportunity to review progress, monitor symptoms, refine rehabilitation goals and adjust recommendations as recovery progresses.
