Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects the ability to focus, pay attention, and control impulses. While ADHD is commonly diagnosed in childhood, many individuals may not receive a formal diagnosis until adulthood. At Oxford Brain and Mind, we offer comprehensive assessments to diagnose adult ADHD, which includes a thorough evaluation of symptoms, behaviors, and cognitive functioning.

Our assessments are tailored to each individual and may involve a combination of interviews, questionnaires, and cognitive tests. Our team also takes into account any other underlying conditions that may be contributing to symptoms, such as anxiety or depression. We strive to provide our patients with a clear understanding of their diagnosis and offer personalized treatment plans to help manage their symptoms and improve their quality of life.

Why choose Oxford Brain and Mind?

At Oxford Brain and Mind, we understand that seeking an assessment for adult autism or adult ADHD can be a daunting process. We have a team of experts with vast experience of assessing and managing ADHD. Our team is committed to providing a supportive and non-judgmental environment to ensure you feel comfortable throughout the assessment process. The ADHD assessment is always led by a consultant psychiatrist who will be involved in your care throughout your journey with us. In the process the consultant psychiatrist understands you and your needs very well and will guide you throughout. Unlike many other places, where your assessment may be done by a professional who is not able to prescribe you the medication for your condition or the management of your medication might be overseen by someone who has not understood you and your needs fully, we are committed to continuity of care with the same professional. Furthermore, we also offer a range of evidence-based treatments to help manage symptoms and improve quality of life.
